And Subtracting:

What’s the worst
thing we could do to something that’s perfect: add to or subtract
anything from it. Add
nothing to or subtract nothing from God’s word. For the word of
God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates to divide soul and spirit, joints and
marrow. (Deuteronomy 4:2) Some people do add to God’s word. Some people subtract from it
also. And if anyone takes words away from this book of the prophesy. God will take away from him
his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. God doesn’t need
our input on anything because he’s Almighty. (Psalm 147:5) Great is our Lord and mighty in power,
his understanding has no limits. And God’s word is living and active, sharper than any double-edged
sword. (Hebrews 4:12). For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged
sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and
attitudes of the heart. The worse adding and subtracting is to God’s word. If we add anything to
God’s word, it would be confusing and ineffective because we aren’t apart of his family. We don’t
live in God’s world because destructive realities we live in wouldn’t exist if it was. The reason why
these are the worse things we could be is because disobedience separates us from God. We move
in opposite directions of Jesus Christ, (the image of God).
The best thing we could do is obey God’s word. The worse thing we could do is add to it.
P.S. God’s word doesn’t need perfecting because
it’s already perfect.
