Wages Of Obedience Is Life

This is a definite fact of life :wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through

Jesus Christ.  There’s no coming back from death.  What’s the opposite

of death?  Life.  To hold life we must obey God.  Our righteous acts are

like filthy rags to God.  (Isaiah 64:6)  But we are all as an unclean

thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all

do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities , like the wind, have taken

us away.  Jesus is our righteousness.   (1 Corinthians 1:30)

But of hm are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto

us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and

redemption.  We sit close to God, while Christ stands far

from God.  Wages of obedience is life.  This must be the

ultimate invitation for us to obey God.  Wages of obedience

is life.  How eager are we to receive desires of our hearts?

God will give us the desires of our hearts.  (Psalm 37:4)

Delight thyself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires

of your heart.  How much we want to hold desires of our

hearts is how we must obey God.

We reap what we sow..  ( Galatians 6:7-8). Be not deceived ,

God cannot be mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that

shall he also reap.  For he that soweth to his flesh shall reap

corruption, but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit

reap life everlasting.  Wages of obedience is life.  Actions speak

louder than words.  We can say we love God,  but what does

our wages say?  To love God is to obey him.  (1 John 5:3). We

must eat these words everyday, then we will taste and see that

the Lord is good.  (Psalm 34:8). O taste and see that the Lord is

good; blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Jesus Christ is our righteousness.  Jesus makes our sins as white

as snow.  (Isaiah 1:18). Come now, let us reason together,  saith the

Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow,

though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Since life is

about reaping and sowing, we must obey God, because wages of

obedience is life.
