Our world is
blind because of not forgiving people.
For not forgiving is destructive
because it’s not a part of God’s characteristics. We all sin and fall short of the glory
of God. (Romans
3:23) For if you forgive men when they
sin against you, your heavenly
father will forgive.
But if you do not forgive them of their sins, your father will not
forgive
your sins. When we
forgive others, we free ourselves from vengeful actions. God says,
“Vengeance is mine.”
(Romans 12:19) Do not take
revenge, dear friends, but leave room
for God’s wrath, for it is written, “It is mine to
avenge.” We must forgive for our own
sakes. We reap what
we sow. (Galatians 6:7-8) We are called to forgive because God
forgave. Jesus says, “Forgive them father, they know
not what they do.” (Luke 23:34)
We must forgive because reality stands as it does. Satan sits on the throne presently
because sin is ever-present in our world. God can’t be around darkness. (2 Corinthians
6:14) Do not be yoked
together with unbelievers. For what does
righteousness have
to do with wickedness?
This is the hardest thing for us to do: forgive. But we better
do it soon: For our
own sake.
