Race Against Ourselves

     This is.one of the most crucial races there is: against

obedience.  We’re commanded to obey God, to uphold 

the Ten Commandments.  You shall have no other g

not murder.  You shall not commit adultery.  You shall not 

steal.  You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

You shall not covet.  We race against obedience by abiding 

by them before judgment day comes, which no one knows 

when that will be.  (Matthew 24:36). But about the day or

the hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven,

not even the Son, but only the Father.

     Death will come upon us all, but each day God blesses

us with seeing, we’re racing against obedience. The only 

way we’ll win win this race is by being obedient to God.
