God’s word is powerful and effective, is useful for
teaching, and correcting, rebuking, and training in
righteousness. Is sharper than any two edged sword.
(Hebrews 412) We fall short of the glory of God. (Romans
3:23). We reap what we sow. (Galatians 6:7-8) Be not
deceived, God cannot be mocked, for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap. To know and understand
the meaning of reap, it must scare us to obey. (Romans
6: 23) States that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of
God is that eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord, highlighting that
salvation is an unearned gift rather an earned reward. What we
reap must scare us to obey God’s word.. We must dread having
freedom, because our righteous acts are like filthy rags. (Isaiah
6:6). But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our
righteousnesses are as filthy rags and we all do fade as a leaf,
and our iniquities, like the wind have taken us away.
I’m stating all this to say what we reap must scare us to obey.
