Our Desperations For Obedience

Everyday we must see our desperations for obedience. We
are desperate for it because God commands our obedience.
Faith is what pleases God. (Hebrews 11:6). And without faith,
it is impossible to please him, because anyone who comes to
him must believe that he exists and that he is a rewarder of
those who earnestly seek him. God says, “He who finds me
loves his own soul. (Proverbs 19:8). He that getteth wisdom
loveth his own soul, he that keepeth understanding shall find
good. We all fall short of the glory of God. For all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God. (Philippians 4:13). No one
does good, not even one. There is no one who understands.
There is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have
together become worthless. There is no one who does god. Not
even one. We are desperate for obedience, because nothing is
hidden from God’s sight. (Hebrews 4:13). Nothing in all creation
is hidden from God’s sight. We must tightly hold obedience in
our hearts. Meaning we must die to ourselves. This is the
strongest action there is, following obeying God.
Obedience is our desperation because we don’t know the day,
or the hour of Christ’s return. (Matthew 24:36) But of the day or
the hour knoweth no man, not even the angels in heaven, but
only the Father alone. We are desperate for obedience because
God’s eyes are constantly watching us. Jesus Christ is our
righteousness. (1 Corinthians 1:5). But because of Him are ye
in Christ Jesus who of God is made unto us wisdom and
righteousness and sanctification and redemption. We are
desperate for obedience because we don’t want our righteous
acts to continue being like filthy rags to God.
Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. (1 Peter 2:24). He himself
bore our sins in his body on the cross, so wè might die to sins
and live for righteousness, by his wounds you have been healed.
Our desperations for obedience will continue growing until the
last sin is put under Christ’s feet, (which is death). (1 Corinthians
15:24-28). Then cometh the end when he shall have delivered up
the kingdom of God' even the Father. When he shall have put
down all rule and authority and power. For he must reign, till he
hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be
destroyed is death. That’s the finality of our desperation for
obedience.
P.,S. Our obedience won’t be desperate if we hold onto what
God says, “I will give you the desires of your heart. (Philippians
4:13)
