Because This Isn't God's World

     "Why" is a question that's asked everyday by many people.  Truthfully by the world because we don't

understand why the world is standing in positions of destroying itself.  The answer to why is because this

isn't God's world.  There are cases of terrorism that are prevalent in our world.  Many people ask, "Why?"

But again, it's because this isn't God's world.  Homicide is evident in our world because this isn't God's

world.  The world doesn't know God, and don't want to know him.  Many people pray, "God speed".

This is their prayer because they're tired of this world.  Knowing there is a place better than this world.

That's why scripture says, "Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not

destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal.  (Matthew 6:20)  Why is the question we ask

ourselves, and the only answer I can think of is to bring us to God and dependance on him.  That's what he

demands of us.

     Bombings occur because this isn't God's world.  God cut all ties with the world because he knew we are

drawn to sinful actions.  Kids run away from home because this isn't God's world.  Satan's influences are

prevalent all around the world.  Setting fire to people's properties are present because this isn't God's

world.  Children are getting molested because this isn't God's world.  Thankfully, the Son of Man, (Jesus

Christ) will return soon.  This world stands opposed to God, but Jesus Christ is our righteousness, who

connects us to God.  These kinds of actions will happen until the end of time.  These realities are like lessons

for us, presenting the world as a school.  But we have hardheads where we have to bump our heads over

and over again.  Reality exists as it does because this isn't God's world.  So the word, "why" should never be

asked again, because we already know this isn't God's world.

Adversities Can Lead To Excellence

     If we ride adversities in our lives through to their completions, they can lead to excellence.  Like when I

couldn't walk after I got hit by a car, I crawled on the floor because I wasn't going to let that small trimmer in

my life get the best of me.  That is because I knew how large my God was, and I held onto this scripture, "I

can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  (Philippians 4:13).  I began walking on my tip toes, but

I've exceeded pass that level.  Doctors said I wouldn't be able to return to school. but I returned.  My

accident happened when I was in the second grade, seven years old, and I'm presently thirty-eight years old.

I've been to college for some years and I've written a book.  Doctors also said I was brain damaged, but I

say I am brain delivered because my God controls everything.  He allows things to happen for his

glorifications.  I wouldn't allow anyone to help me with anything because I knew God didn't restore my life

to be dependent on no one who was no higher than I was.  I serve a God of completion, who knows who he

uses to deliver his messages  to the world.

     Adversity can lead to excellence because that's why we experience trials and tribulations, to see how

much tenacity we have and to see if we trust God with our problems.  In my life I've experienced being

overweight because of my inability to walk, poor diet, boredom, which persuaded me to overeat, because

an idle mind is the devil's work.  Adversities can bring much determination out of us, because if there are

things we really want, we eagerly fight for them.  Adversity increases faith in our hearts, because faith

without works is dead, and adversities push us to continue striving to reaching our goals.  It's the only

powerful thing we can hold onto.  When I was in the eighth grade, I dreamed of becoming a writer.  So

everyday and night I spent exceedingly great amounts of time writing, persist to get God's messages out

to the world.  Giving the gift of writing back to God, (the one who gave it to me) I called people and read

different pieces to them.  They complimented me on how good and inspiring they were.  If my literature

didn't make people make people stop and think about actions they performed and words they spoke, I

haven't done the job God called me to do: bring knowledge to people of him and his goodness.

 So adversities to me are like my best friends, in a way, they keep pushing me higher because I won't

let anyone or anything win over me.  So what I've accomplished in my life I thank God for, because

he's he's given me the wisdom and strength to overcome those obstacles.  Adversity can lead to excellence,

and in my life each one I've faced certainly lead to excellence, because with each one I depended on God

to hold excellence in it's fullness.

Teach Me How To Love

     Being taught how to do anything takes practice, knowledge, awareness, compassion, loyalty, and caring

about other people's feelings.  I can only be taught how to love by God, because God is love.  I need to

exude a teachable spirit within my heart.  All I have to do is thoroughly read the Bible and examine all the

times God forgave people of their sins.  Every time God showed patience when I was slow in catching

onto what he was saying, taught me how to love.  His patience is the ultimate expression of love, because

we all fall short of God's glory.  Every time I lie to people, teach me how to love.  Every time I have lustful

thoughts running through my mind, teach me how to love.  When I see people on the street begging for food,

or money, teach me how to love.  When I see some people prostituting themselves on the street, showing

ignorance of the precious jewel they are to you, teach me how to love.  Teach me how to love, and I will

know how to love.

             Philippians 4:8

     Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right.  Whatever is pure.  Whatever is

lovely.  Whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.

          Galatians 5:22-25

        But the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and

self-control.  Against such things, there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful

nature with its passions and desires.

     Dear Lord, with my emotions of jealousy, hatred, envy, actions of revenge, neglect , killing, homicide,

and other emotions as such, teach me how to love.  With your forgiveness,  compassion, hope you give

me, dreams you've made come true are examples of how to love you've extended to me.  From these

realities existing daily in my life, you teach me how to love.

Only Going To Work Because People Need God's Word

     Some times in the morning I feel so good, I don't want to get out of the bed.  The sleep is so good, it's

like the bed is a vacuum cleaner pulling me back into bed.  But the only reason I go to work is because

people need the word of God.  Being his servant, I get up because this need outweighs my rest.  I trust

God will give me energy that will sustain me if I am obedient to him in delivering his word to to people.

Not giving into my flesh, but letting my faith in God prevail.  Some people wonder why I come into work

with a smile?  "A GLOW".  (God's Labor Of Wisdom).  That is attractive to them.  But there's a simple

reason why I go to work: Because people need the word of God.  I always hold JOY in heart because

that's the order we all should align our thought processes to think in: Jesus, Others, Yourself.

     I'm God's messenger because my literature can be backed up with God's word.  That's because God is

on my mind twenty-four hours, seven days a week.  They can be backed up with his word because my heart

moves forward with him.  I only go to work because people need God's word.  I persist to remain focused

on my spiritual developments,  so people I come in contact with can be exposed to God's word

Are Ten Commandments too Much To Make Us Lose Touch With God?

     This is the ultimate question every human being should ask themselves:  Are the ten commandments too

much to make us lose touch with God?  God says, "My commands are not burdensome to follow."  (1 John

5:3).  I ask of us again, "Are the ten commandments too much to make us lose touch with God?  He has

removed himself from the human race for six thousand years.  We would experience peace, love, joy,

happiness, contentment,  and other emotions as such if we followed them.  So I ask again, "Are ten

commandments too much to make us lose touch with God?"  We need to understand they are towards

our protection.  Every action has a reaction.  We reap what we sew.  So I ask again, "Are ten

commandments too much for us to follow?  God can't be around darkness, which we are because we fall

short of the glory of God.  Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.  Are the ten commandments too

much for us to follow?  By following them, we show we love God.  He loved us so much that he allowed

his son, (Jesus Christ) to die on the cross for our sins.  He separated himself from us, but because of his

love for us, he's given us the ten commandments, (which are our protections).  We live in the world, but

we don't have to be of it.

     So I ask all of us,, "Are the ten commandments too much to make us lose touch with God?  We have to

love God before we love ourselves, and we show we love him by following the ten commandments.  God

loved us enough to give us ten commandments to survive in this world.  Do we hold God above ourselves, or

ourselves above God?  That's determined if the ten commandments are too much for us to lose contact with

God.

      And Samua said to the whole house of  Israel,  "If you are returning to the Lord with all of your hearts,

then rid yourselves of the foreign god's and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord, and serve

him only, and he will deliver you out of the Philistines.

I'm Beautiful Because My Example Is Beautiful

     Most people are attracted to these kinds of people.  Beautiful people, which I am one of.  Jesus Christ is

my example in walking in this path.  He mirrors his Father: God Almighty, who is beautiful himself., which is

a characteristic I persist in imitating daily.  I extended my wheelchair to people at work, (AMC Star

Theaters).  Some of my co-workers asked me, "Why did you give your wheelchair away?"  I responded

with, "Those people needed it more than I do.  I have ability to walk, they don't."  My co-workers

responded in amazement, "Wow Shakira, your heart is beautiful."  Managers were so amazed with my

heart, they contacted the Oakland Newspaper who came out and had an interview with me on my

generosity.  The reporter asked, "What gives you the compassion to give your wheelchair away?"  I

responded, "It's not a question of what but who.  Jesus Christ does.  He had compassion for us when

he died on the cross for our sins.  He had compassion for us when he too on the beatings we deserved."

     I'm beautiful because in the literature I write, my ambition is to open people's eyes and move their

hearts closer to God.  To express our crucial need for and dependence on God.  I have a calm and quiet

spirit that sees far beyond limitations of this world.  Jesus Christ isn't of this world, so how could I be of

it if he's my example?  Most people have always told me,  Shakira, you have a beautiful smile."  It's

beautiful because it's a reflection of Christ' spirit in me.  I wrap my heart and mind up in God's word.

That's why each piece of literature I write can be backed up with scriptures.  I asked asked one of

my brothers in Christ, "Why can all of my literature be backed up with scripture?"  I thought that was scary.

He asked, "You really don't  know?  Cause your heart is on God twenty-four hours, seven days a week."

Even without trying, his word comes out in my literature.  Im the instrument.  He's the Creator.  Everyday

I persist to reflect the beauty of Jesus Christ.  My determination shows how beautiful I am, because I'm

claiming, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  (Philippians 4:13)  Everyday I put on

the full armor of God with my placed exactly where Christ' heart is placed:  on what benefits other people.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Question is: What are they holding?  They're holding other people's

benefits in the highest esteem, because they trust God with their benefits and where he would hold theirs.

When mirroring my heart with Jesus Christ' heart, they resemble each other in beauty, because we believe

what we give away towards other people's benefits will return to us.  Jesus Christ is beautiful because he

imitates God, and I imitate Jesus Christ, which makes me beautiful too.

God Speed

     This should be everyone's prayer:  God speed.  Reasons why are because it seems like we're destroying

ourselves.  We're destroying ourselves  by not living by the ten commandments, commandments that aren't

burdensome.  1 John 5 :3 This is love for God: to obey his commandments, and his commandments are not

burdensome.  Some people cry out, "God speed," because there are realities of raping, child abuse,

kidnapping, neglect, home invasions, stealing, killing, torturing, homicide, suicide, spousal abuse, and

the like.  How much of a mirror of the world am I to the people in it?  Am I hitting on some realities we've

experienced in our lives?  What are we doing to rectify the situations, because when Jesus returns, we won't

be able to say anything.  That is because he says, "I will come like a thief in the night."  (2 Peter 3:10)

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.  The heavens will disappear with a roar, the

elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it and it will be laid bare.

     God speed, because I can't wait to live in paradise where there's nothing but love.  We all know who

love is: God, and we know his characteristics: love, peace, joy, contentment, gracious, forgiving, humble,

patient, and the like.  I can't wait to live in your world, Lord.  Although heaven for human beings will be

down here on earth, I'm grateful you will be down here on earth with us, because you are omnipresent.

I earnestly pray for this day to come.  I know you hear all prayers, so I'm humbly praying to you God, to

speed in your return.

I Am Wonderfully Learned Because I Am Willingly Listening

     I give you, Lord, all praise for the success in my writing talent.  All honor is given to you because it comes

from you which I share with other people.  They make differences and impacts in people's lives where they

can see you and definitely will give you all praise.  I am wonderfully learned because I'm willingly listening to

your voice.  The Bible says, "Let those who have ears, hear what I say.  (Matthew 11:15)  He who has ears,

let him hear.  I am wonderfully learned because I am willingly listening.  God is the Alpha and the Omega,

the beginning and the end.  All of my literature can be backed up with scripture because God is on my mind

twenty-four hours, seven days a week.  That's one way you, (God) speak to me and through writing is my

response to what I've learned.  I am wonderfully learned because I'm willingly listening.  Lessons I learn

from the world can't compare to the lessons I learn from you.  That's why God tells us to store up our

treasures in heaven, because where your treasure is, that's where your heart will be also.   (Matthew 6:19-

21).  Do not store up your treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in

and steal.  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where

thieves don't break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, that's where your heart will be also.


     I am wonderfully learned because I am willingly listening.  God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning

and the end.  (Revelations 1:8)  I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, "who is and was and

who is to come, the Almighty.  I am wonderfully learned because I am willingly listening.  Since I'm

wonderfully learned of God and willingly listening to God,  I'm pushing with all of my strength to reach

his excellence, but I know I never will.  But I do know I'm wonderfully learned because I'm willingly

listening to you God. because you are all knowing, which means I'm forever protected by your everlasting

love for me.  That stamps the fact that I'm wonderfully learned because I'm willingly listening to you God

secured in place.  So I'm standing unmovable in his love.  I'm forever his disciple, (his student)  because

I'm wonderfully learned in God, because I'm willingly listening to him.

People Miss Me Because They See Jesus In Me

     I hate missing work, (AMC Star Theaters) because I love people, serving them.  People miss me the

days I don't work, people miss me because they see Jesus in me.  One day at work a lady fell in one of the

theaters and we didn't have any wheelchairs because some people stole ours.  I told managers "We needed

wheelchairs because we can't fully serve those people who have trouble walking without them.  If we don't

provide this service, they'd just go to other theaters."    After she fell, a manager came out in the hall and

casually said, "Yeah, a lady fell in a theater."  I immediately said, "Here take my wheelchair."  He surprisingly

asked, "What about you baby?"  I responded, I'll be okay, God gave me the ability to walk and the heart to

give away when there's a need."  He responded, Oh bless your heart Shakira"  I've extended my wheelchair

many other times.  People miss me because they see Jesus in me.  I think of other people  before myself.  I

extend characteristics of Jesus Christ to people with gentle smiles on my face everyday.  Some people ask

me, "Why do I smile all the time?"  I simply say, "Because God hasn't given me a reason to frown."

     I treat people the way I want to be treated.  People miss me because they see Jesus in me.  A lady

came over to the side of the theater I was working on, and she said, "I just had to come over here and

meet you because you have a glow radiating from you."  I perceive that glow to be, (God's Labor Of

Wisdom).  After I extended my wheelchair, many people crowded around me.  I felt like Jesus Christ

because of people's admirations.  I'm alive for one sole purpose: to imitate Jesus Christ.  I'm fulfilling that

purpose because he is who people see.
